Product Description
A discreet heater that lives above doors and creates a warm welcome in commercial premises such as shops, cafes and entrance areas. Multiple SystemX overdoor heaters can be daisy chained from one simple to use controller. Control connections are all made with Cat5 cable making for a quick, error free install.

If you are unsure which XD heater is suitable for your project then please contact BN Thermic for assistance or send us the below information. Rule of thumb, when specifying over door heaters, you are trying to cover as much of your door’s width as possible with a heater. To accurately quote you the right unit we need the following information:
- Overall width and height of the door
- The distance between the top of the door and the ceiling/bulkhead

Can one installer install this heater easily?

The mounting bracket on this heater was designed specifically for easy install by one person. You firstly wall mount the fixing bracket then you attached the two small side brackets and plastic domes to the heater. Once this is done, you simply slot the heater and side brackets into the wall mounted fixing bracket.

How many SystemX heaters can I control with one thermostat?

Up to 12 heaters can be daisy chained via one thermostat.

Does my thermostat need mains power?

No, all SystemX thermostats get their power via Cat5 cable from the first heater in the chain.

How do I buy BN Thermic heaters?

We sell exclusively through electrical wholesalers. If you have used a wholesaler in the past, please forward them our part codes and they will provide you with a final price.

How do I select the correct heater for my project?

We offer a free design service for any size project. To quote, all we require is the length and width of your door and we can specify the correct heater for your project. When will I receive my heater?

How do I keep running costs and energy consumption to a minimum?

Installing a CX-3 control switch is the best way to keep running costs and energy consumption to a minimum. The CX-3 switch gives you on/off/high/low and fan only settings.
In warmer months, the CX-3’s low setting down rates a heater’s output which instantly reduces energy consumption.
For example, if a shop owner switches a 6kW XD-60 overdoor heater to its low setting, they instantly down rate the unit to 4kW. If the shop is open for 10 hours a day, the owner reduces their energy consumption by 20kW a day! (This is ideal for warmer times of the year like spring and autumn)
