Controls & Accessories
FAQs
Can I use radiant panels to spot heat areas like a workstation?

Ideally, radiant panels should be used to space heat commercial premises like offices and should be controlled via a thermostat.
Radiant panels give off a radiant effect which will naturally localise heat. In some commercial environments they can be used to add some localised heat (above a desk) but should not be used in industrial applications (above a workstation in a warehouse).

Can I surface mount these heaters?

Yes, you can surface mount radiant panels using the brackets provided. They do also slot into 600×600 and 1200×600 grid ceilings.

Can multiple radiant panels be controlled via one thermostat?

Yes, as long as they are wired through a suitably rated thermostat or contactor and thermostat.

How do I select the correct heater for my project?

We offer a free heating design service for any size project. To quote, all we require is the dimensions of your project, a rough idea of the insulation and an idea of what your premises is used for. Please see the ‘how to obtain a quote’ drop down above for more info and the ‘how to measure guide’.

When will I receive my heater?

All orders placed with a wholesaler by 3pm are shipped next day. (Uk mainland addresses)

How do I keep running costs and energy consumption to a minimum?

Installing a 7-day programmable thermostat is the best way to keep your running costs and energy consumption to a minimum. A 7-day programmable thermostat can prevent your heating system being left on when your premises is unoccupied and it turns your heaters off once your premises reaches a desired temperature.
Also, longwave radiant heaters give off a radiant effect that will naturally make you feel warmer than the ambient air temperature in your premises. This means you can drop your thermostat down 3 or 4 °C which will turn your heating system off quicker subsequently saving energy.
Click the ‘controls’ drop down menu to browse recommended thermostats for this heater and please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance selecting the correct thermostat – 01293 547 361.
