Push button timers are an ideal means of controlling quartz halogen heaters both indoors and outdoors.  The new TS-7 timer can be pre-programmed between 5 minutes and 90 minutes.  The user simply pushes the button when heat is required secure in the knowledge that the heaters will be automatically switched off when the pre-programmed time period has elapsed.  In this way, the timer helps to prevent the heater operating when an area is unoccupied thereby keeping running costs to a minimum.

The TS-7 is IP65 rated making it safe to install outdoors and has a 6kW switching capacity.  So, for example, the TS-7 could control four 1.5kW heaters or a single 6kW heater.

A panel front light indicates when the heating is ‘on’ and provides a warning when the pre-programmed heating period is about to end.  The timer also incorporates a ‘soft start’ switching mechanism which extends a quartz halogen heater’s lamp life.
