FAQs
My pipe has several T junctions and off shoots, is this cable suitable?

It is indeed. Our CRJ cable can be cut to length on site and spliced off into T junctions using our CRJ-S splice kit. This function makes our cable ideal for more complex projects like sprinkler systems and animal feeder systems.

Is this cable going to melt a plastic pipe?

This cable will not melt a plastic pipe. If you have a plastic pipe, it is important you wrap AL-50 aluminium tape around your pipe before installing the cable. Aluminium tape helps to disperse heat evenly across your pipe.

How do I buy BN Thermic pipe freeze protection cable?

We sell exclusively through electrical wholesalers. If you have used a wholesaler in the past, please forward them our part codes and they will provide you with a final price.

How do I select the correct cable for my project?

The best way to obtain the right cable is to send us the length and diameter of your pipe(s) along with the thickness of the insulation you’ll be lagging your pipe with. We’ll then send you a quote with the correct cable.

When will I receive my products?

All orders placed with a wholesaler by 3pm are shipped next day. (Uk mainland addresses)

How do I keep running costs and energy consumption to a minimum?

Installing a FST3-EX frost thermostat is the best way to keep running costs and energy consumption to a minimum at it ensures your cable only energises when the temperature drops below 5°C.
